Risk management activities take some time and resources to be completed, so risk management is not a free of cost process and generally it faces difficulties allocating resources. An effective and ideal risk management minimizes spending while maximizing the reduction of the negative effects of risks.
Besides the cost, risk management activities should be completed as soon as possible at early steps of each project milestone. Somehow, we should increase the efficiency of risk management activities, to provide more reliable results and to take more accepted place in project management activities. As in all fields, this could be provided by using computer software and tools in risk management activities.
The Software Risk Evaluation (SRE) practice is a proven formal method for identifying, analyzing, communicating, and mitigating software risks. It is used for evaluating and mitigating the technical risks associated with a software project. Since there is lack of a software tool which provides SRE method to user, we will tray to implement such a tool in this project. Firstly, we need to decide how to adapt the SRE steps in our software, then we will start to develop the software.

SRE is actually based on team interviewing and brainstorming techniques. By this way, implementing SRE‘s whole procedure as a software tool does not seem possible or does not have an easy implementation. But, a software tool meeting with the main functions of SRE, and leaving some human dependent activities to Risk Manager of the project, would increase the efficiency of usage of SRE as the Risk Management method. Such a software tool, named as withRISK is currently being implemented.
